License Key Twonky Server 7
Hi all, first post. I've just tried to load some tracks onto my KDS but when I use Songbook (Mac) or Kinksy Desktop (PC) I can't access my library; instead 'trial expired' appears where I would normally click on album/artist/etc. This is strange as Twonky has worked flawlessly for 18 months, and I've not changed anything recently?! I've checked the licence key and it is the same one they emailed me back in 2008. I've logged onto the Configuration page of my Twonky server (installed on a ReadyNAS NV+) and above my registration key there is a message that reads 'This key is already in use by another instance of the server.' That means pretty much nothing to me!
I tried to reboot the ReadyNAS but I get the same result. Can anyone help - as I can't listen to anything right now - and that means I'll have to converse with the wife this evening!!! Thanks, Sean. I suggest that you look at: (2009-11-01 16:44)drsean Wrote: Hi all, first post. What a nightmare though.Twonky's system seems flawed if it can upset so many genuine customers in an instant! Thanks once again, Sean.
I have just removed the default gateway on my NAS and restarted TwonkyMedia service on Readynas frontview. All ok so far. D ADS/0/1/Dyn. AK/0/Dyn.

Bloody annoying particuarly when you would have more chance of getting a response from the Pope than you would have from Twonky!!
Have you removed the gateway setting (router) on the NAS (Static settings) as the gateway will be reapplied (if set to DHCP), and will try and connect to Twonky license server, stopping twonky running. Mine is fixed IP without gateway, and IS now running. D ADS/0/1/Dyn. AK/0/Dyn. A4200/0/Dyn. Linn K400 & Silvers.

LG G2 Android 5.0.2. Sony PS4. Which version of Twonky? It almost sounds like your one has lost its key. Restart it without the internet connected (unplug your ADSL) and see what happens (it should start then you can plug it back in). If it still complains, have a look at the Twonky config pages and see if it shows the key entry box. Twonky can be configured to restart when the network interface changes (it's a tickbox in the settings) so starting the NAS then plugging in the Ethernet cable once it's settled down could actually restart Twonky; that's why I'm suggesting unpluggin the ADSL from the phone socket before booting the NAS up.
Bri Hi Just saw above answer (you were typing the same time as myself). Again, try starting your Mac with the ADSL unplugged and see if that works. It sounds like it might be a slightly different issue in your case; it sounds like it might have somehow lost its key. Hope you (twonky servers) get it resolved soon. D ADS/0/1/Dyn. AK/0/Dyn.
